| In case you're visiting us today because you received some spam over the
last few days that was sent by some moron using a bogus e-mail address leading
you to believe the e-mail came us – it didn't. Speakeasy Networks -- a
company we had the misfortune to use for Internet connectivity 6+ years ago --
didn't bother to update their Reverse DNS records after we dumped them,
so some bozo spamming from 66.92.135.3 -- a speakeasy.net IP -- is using our
domain name to send out his crapola. We have complained to Speakeasy, but they "have no idea how long it will take to deal with this." Boy, I've heard that from them more than once. Call Speakeasy at 1-800-556-5829 to express your displeasure over this, but don't bother us because we can't do anything about it. The funny thing is, this is the second time in 8 months we have had problems due to a spammer on Speakeasy's network -- something to consider if you're looking for IP connectivity. Update 08/30/2010 @ 0245: While Speakeasy hasn't replied to our complaint, we now see that the IP this crapola was coming from no longer has a Reverse DNS entry with our domain name in it. |
